What types of giveaways are listed on this blog?
I currently list giveaways in which the prizes fall into the following categories:
- handmade items from independent artists and crafters
- supplies for crafting purposes
- books or other related materials that are about the crafty or DIY world
The giveaways I list:
- must be free to enter
- must have a specific end-date
- if the giveaway is hosted on Facebook, must only ask people to become fans (since Facebook does not allow the promotion of contests/giveaways through their site without their permission)
Does giving crafty host any giveaways?
From time to time, giving crafty will be hosting giveaways - but these will be prominently displayed in an obvious way. The rest of the giveaways you see on this blog are hosted elsewhere.
When should I submit my giveaway to giving crafty?
Please submit your giveaway as soon as possibly after your giveaway starts, but not before. Giveaways should be submitted at least 3 days before their deadline so that there's enough time for them to be listed.
How long does it take for a giveaway to be posted on giving crafty?
Depending on how many submissions I receive, most giveaways are listed within 24 hours of submission. If it's extremely busy, then it may take up to 3 days for submissions to be listed.
If there's a problem with your submission (invalid links or missing information), your listing may take longer.
